ABOUT THE FLUTE PROJECT
JOD Flutes explore materials and techniques to develop concert flutes in different alloys with focus upon creating a developed sound of the flute.
Johan Dahlbäck – master flute technician has a long experience as a leading flute technician and has for the last ten years examined and done research upon alloys and craft techniques. Now we are in the final status to start prototype making and production of head joints and flutes.
He recently designed a new prototype workshop and has received support from
The Swedish Arts Grants Committee (Konstnärsnämnden) for his work.
JOD Flutes also is supported from the European Regional Development Fund- developing and using specialized techniques in flute making.
We will update this site and tell a little about the story behind continuously. Our goal is to present head joints in 2022 and the first flutes 2022-23. Due to corona the situation has been affected and lack of materials has delayed the project.
